With this seventh edition, I find myself reflecting not only on the journey of the magazine, but on
the people who continue to carry it forward.
Daniela, handing over the reins to you has been a decision grounded in a deep knowing of your
capability and all that you are able to step into. The role of Editor-in-Chief calls for vision,
responsibility, and leadership shaping the voice of the magazine, guiding its
direction, and upholding the standard of everything it represents, and knowing your heart, I
have no doubt that you will carry this role with care, intention, and purpose. You are finding your
rhythm, stepping fully into your role, and bringing your unique
perspective into every part of this magazine. It has been a privilege to witness this
journey unfold. I have no doubt that the road ahead, under your guidance, will be one of
continued growth and excellence. To all competitors, riders, trainers, and supporters, I wish you
the very best for the show. May it be filled with success, memorable moments, and the true spirit
of the Saddle Horse.

Taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief of SA Saddle Horse Magazine is both an
honour and a responsibility I do not take lightly. As I step into this position, I do so with immense
gratitude to Adri, who has guided, mentored, and shaped me into who I am today. Your
dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment to this publication have not only built a legacy
within the industry, but have also left a lasting impact on me personally. Through your leadership,
I have learned the true value of hard work, integrity, and passion. You have set a standard of
excellence that I will continually strive to uphold.
Thank you for believing in me, for investing your time and knowledge, and for entrusting me with
something so close to your heart. It is a privilege to carry this forward. As you hand over the reins,
I want to assure you that I will honour what you have built. I will protect the legacy of this
magazine while continuing to grow and evolve it with the same passion and purpose you have
